Purdue’s Online Writing Lab (OWL) on Email Etiquette – If OWL is new to you, then I’d like to introduce you to your new best friend. Purdue’s Online Writing Lab is a great supplemental resource for your online course. For example, let’s say that a particular student uses passive voice throughout a paper. Instead of writing a paragraph of text explaining why they need to use active voice, just write a sentence and include a link to the OWL Active vs. Passive Voice page.
